Rhapsody to Autumn

“If ever I would write a song … it would be of Autumn …”

Autumn must be my favorite season of the year. During my tertiary years in the UK, autumn would be the time that I would return after a long summer break back home. I remember having long walks in the park and feeling the cool crisp air on my face. I would listen to the whispers of the falling leaves and be intoxicated by the damp woodsy scent of the trees. All around me lovers would snuggle a little closer to each other, sometimes exchanging soft kisses. Autumn is the season of romance, of reflections and of sweet melancholy.

Inspired by my favorite season of the year, this mixed media necklace is made of various fibers, silks and lace, brass chains and wires, filigree and findings, jasper, howlite and tourmaline rondelles, and beautiful piece of Picasso Jasper. The focal of this piece must be the miniature book make of leather and coffee stained pages filled with miniature music notes.

*The pendant is 4 inches from bail to stone
