Isabella

Isabella began as just a teardrop-shape polymer clay bead. After creating the bead and applying the deep red and gold colors and 2 layers of resin, I was delighted at how rich the bead became. I had to mount it on an ornate gold frame. The whole effect of this bead was now a rich, ornate and gothic pendant! And at once, “vampire” came to mind … hence Isabella. And for those of you who are Twilight fans … you probably would have guessed why “Isabella” already

Just like Isabella Swan in Twilight, this piece began as just another polymer clay bead but unknowingly, slowly, surely, it has fulfilled its destiny and taken its place as a completed piece of work ... Worthy of reverence and immortality just like Bella?? That, I dare not say … Only time will tell …

Essentially a mixed media piece, the focal on this choker is made from polymer clay, painted and resined, over an antique gold frame. The choker is a combination of lace, felt, ribbons, antique gold findings and glass beads. The weave you see was created by weaving together 6 pieces of black necklace cords. Instead of a clasp, this choker is secured by black satin ribbons.
